Whilst helping my boss look for broadband providers a couple weeks ago I noticed that my exchange was now enabled for Be. I remembered their launch a couple years ago promising up to 24meg internet but forgot about it due to slow deployment.
My current broadband was an ADSL Max product with packet shaping, throttling and usage caps. Be is ADSL2+ with no shaping, throttling or usage caps and is £5 a month cheaper.
Signing up using their website was rather simple (once I got the MAC code from my old ISP) and connection was free this month. I got texts and emails keeping me up to date with the order progress and I had an activation date by the end of the day. My bebox and welcome pack was dispatched 4 days before activation with online order tracking and it came next day.
Activation actually happened the day before they said. I was playing some Rainbow Six : Vegas coop action with Ben over live and at around 10.30 he disappeared from the game and my 360 crashed. Sure enough, our internet was down. I went and connected the bebox to the adsl socket and my iBook and we were up and running on Be. A quick reconfigure of the bebox for our subnet and some port forwarding and we're back to how we were on our old router.
Now, Be say up to 24meg. This all depends on your distance from your exchange and quality of your line. I was told by their sales staff that I may get up to 15meg. Turns out I get around 11-12meg. Nothing to sniff at and their technical support are looking to see if they can increase that a bit. They have an excellent user forum and their support people actually seem to answer the phone.
I can now download an episode of my favorite American TV show in about 5 minutes. The 600mb file in the image up there came down in about 9 minutes. Our first network in the flat, 9 years ago, was only 10meg. We now have faster internet than that. Awesome.

I don't see any contact information on your site, so, I hope you get this. I think your site is amazing. I am setting up my own blog site and was wondering if your site would be available at a theme?
Might be asking too much, but thought I would try.
Thanks,
Bryon

Hi Bryon,
My site design doesn't exist in theme form as I don't use any of the usual blogging packages. I could maybe work on making it a theme - what blog package are you going to be using?
